Independent Music production businesses in Nashville, TN are much like so many of the singers and songwriters who walk its dream-filled sacred streets – here today and gone tomorrow. But like those that have stood the test of time, HTi Music, LLC is still going strong. With new offices in Goodlettsville, TN (just a few miles north of Nashville), the company is continuing an already lengthy and successful 60 plus year legacy.
At the core of HTi is the owner Harrison Tyner (“HT”), a voting member of NARAS, CMA and WMA. He has worn many hats throughout his entertainment career. For instance, in 1973 Elvis offered Harrison a personal exclusive contract to manage and produce Sherrill (Shaun) Nielsen, requiring keeping Elvis informed through frequent conversations and visits. As a result, Harrison’s abilities continued to grow as evident in his production of the classic 2-record gold album “Songs I Sang For Elvis” – released shortly after the death of Elvis and digitally re-released under the titled, “Memories of Elvis.” Also, producing the TV show Cheyenne Country continues to call up his training and experience.
Strengthening the company’s foundation is Tom K. Pick (“TP”), another well-known and respected name within the music community. Tom was working for RCA in Chicago when Chet Atkins brought him to Nashville where he served as RCA’s Chief Engineer for over 15 years. Later, he engineered for Porter Wagoner’s Fireside Studio and then his own Merit Recording Studio. He’s worked with Charley Pride, Dolly Parton, Jimmy Sturr, Porter Wagoner, Eddy Arnold, Donna Fargo, Jerry Reed and Elvis Presley to mention a few. Tom has 8 Grammy Awards® and multiple gold and platinum records to his credit.
Even with extensive and noteworthy careers they still enjoy working together producing, manufacturing and distributing recordings on carefully selected aspiring artists through the company’s Adonda Records division. The company is affiliated with BMI through its Timberjack Music and with ASCAP through its HTi Music divisions.
As active and longtime members of the Nashville entertainment community, Harrison and Tom know the struggles and triumphs that come with a creative career, and it’s that experience and knowledge that propels them forward to assist the next generation of musical superstars!
